Description
Only one model exists with the old label on the nearside, authenticity & provenance from Stewart Diecast Model Vehicles dated 20th June 1994 which was found in the box and reads as follows:-
Dear Mike,
Many thanks for your letter and cheque. I am pleased to enclose the SP50 models ordered. The SP50 Old Blacksmith’s Shop was produced late last month by Lledo/Stevelyn and on receipt we were not happy with the printing, namely the silver shadow on the main lettering and the shades of blue and green in the picture. All the models were returned for the labels to be re-printed and replaced but in the process five were missed (four retained the original labels on both sides and one on the near side only.
The models enclosed, certificated nos. 485 & 486 are two of these variations, one with both old labels, the other with just one. I am pleased to confirm that to the best of my knowledge only the above mentioned five variations are in existence.
