A change in baseplate text, DG18-19-22 was made in 1986, followed by another change, DG18/19/22/24/25 in 1987 and in 1990 to read 18-19-22-24-25-38. A steering wheel and seats were added in 1991.

The original roof had a smooth underside which was changed after only approximately 1,000 models. The new design incorporated a ribbed underside to prevent turbulence in the casting process.

The introduction of downstairs seats was made in 1989. At the end of 1997 new tooling resulted in the bulkhead between the lower passenger saloon and the drivers cab being removed and the new lower deck seating moulding incorporated for the first time a driver seat.
