Casting variations:

Like the DG10 and DG12, this model type was first produced in equal numbers of thick and thin wings (or mudguards as we have called them).

The original body shell had a very shallow horizontal recess close to the bottom edge which was changed almost immediately to a completely smooth side for easier tampo printing. The front end of the chassis was strengthened just above the ‘slot’ for the baseplate around 1987. Steering wheels and seats were added in 1991.
