A Code 3 model is manufactured but not decorated by Lledo. We have a lot of Code 3 models. The majority of which were produced by Ramsey Collectables from the Isle of Man, Castlehouse Models originally from Selly Oak, ProMotorVans by Stevelyn & Co from Hertfordshire, Hobbyclub from Cornwall and South Wales Promotional Models to name a few.

If we are aware of numbers produced, the information will be added in the short product description, if the model is certificated that will also be mentioned, if you have any questions please send a message.

To ensure that these models run in order we have had to ‘tweak’ the numbers, all models have an extra zero, for example, DG/LP/SP/PV06 has had to become DG/LP/SP/PV006, and all other model numbers up to ’99’ have an additional zero, (043, 044, 088, 091 etc), hopefully this will then make the models run in order.

Casting variations:

Initially the body had a large rear flange which completely filled the body overhang. When the DG24 and DG25 Rolls Royce models were introduced in 1987, a new smaller flange was introduced to allow the chassis to become a common component as shown in this example. A change in baseplate text, DG18-19-22 was made in 1986, followed by another change, DG18/19/22/24/25 in 1987 and in 1990 to read 18-19-22-24-25-38. A steering wheel and seats were added in 1991.

Casting variations:

The original roof had a smooth underside which was changed after only approximately 1,000 models. The new design incorporated a ribbed underside to prevent turbulence in the casting process.

The introduction of downstairs seats was made in 1989. At the end of 1997 new tooling resulted in the bulkhead between the lower passenger saloon and the drivers cab being removed and the new lower deck seating moulding incorporated for the first time a driver seat.

Casting variations:

Shortly after launch the baseplate was updated from DG7-9 to include the text DG13 on the front axle and DG14 on the rear axle. The baseplate changed in 1985 to read DG7-9-13-14 with the numbers on the axle covers blanked off. A new baseplate, 7-9-13-14-37 was introduced in late 1990. Steering wheel and seats were added in 1991 and a stretched body was introduced during 1992. The Model A Ford van is available with an advertising board or a plain fluted roof depending on livery.

The Model T Ford van is by far the most popular model in the Lledo range. It has gone through many changes and modifications. We have taken the same referencing for the model body, baseplate and roof from the very informative guide produced by Mr M Allenden which is shown below as a pdf document.
